Westbury firms hit by spate of lead thefts

First published in Westbury

Westbury police are appealing to residents to be on the lookout after a spate of lead thefts reported by businesses in the town.

PC Gavin Hucks, Community Beat Manager for Westbury, said: “We are currently experiencing a number of incidents where lead was taken from commercial buildings. These are being investigated.

“I would ask businesses to contact us so we can provide security advice. Information provided by businesses would allow us to collate this information with a view preventing thefts in the future.”

Businesses should call 101 and request that a message be sent to Westbury for the attention of PC Hucks.
