Morrisons in Westbury is one of 112 south west Morrisons stores getting in a spin for the Round the World Cycle Challenge this weekend.
Staff will cycle the 24,902 mile circumference of the globe to raise funds for charity Sue Ryder, with Westbury pedalling its 223-mile challenge portion on a static bike within 48 hours.
A country theme of France has been selected, with French food stalls, fancy dress and cake bakes being held to generate donations.
Money raised will enable Sue Ryder – the retailer’s nationwide charity partner – to establish new community services, family support teams and an online support community across the UK, including in the South West.
Store general manager Steve Smith said: “We call on all cycling fanatics to come down to store, cheer our colleagues on and dig deep into their pockets. ”
