HUNDREDS of floral tributes have been left at the site where three men died in a crash at the West Wiltshire Trading Estate in Westbury on Friday night.

There are more than 120 floral tributes in total including many cans and bottles of alcohol left by family and friends.

Wiltshire Police confirmed that two men aged 20 from Trowbridge and an 18-year-old from Devizes were involved in the collision on Quartermaster Road where their silver Citroen Saxo hit a blue articulated lorry.

The men have been named locally as Jordan Taylor, Nathan Cox and Chad McVeigh and their Facebook pages have been flooded with tributes.

Emily Mae Davis, Chad McVeigh's girlfriend, posted on Facebook: "Appreciate them to the fullest extent, and then beyond. 'Cause you never really know what you got, until it's gone."

On Millie Howells' Facebook page comments posted included: "There's always an enormous amount sadness when writing about the loss of a life of a young person in their prime and I cannot accurately describe just how shocked we are.

"You only have to read through the messages left on here for you both to know how loved Jordan was and I know you'll keep his memory alive for D**** and the baby you've yet to bring into the world."

Another reads: "I don't really know what to say hunny, you d**** and baba have one more guardian angel and he will be looking down on you forever and always and he will be watching over you and watching you do an amazing job with both of your little angels and succeeding in college and he will be the proudest daddy/boyfriend in heaven".

Many tributes at the scene include one left by Cassie and April: “Always in our thoughts, you will be sadly missed, RIP and much love.”

A tribute left for Chad reads: “You will be miss by many people. You were kind, charming and funny. I will always remember our memories at the track. You were taken so young. You were so supportive of me at school. You will always be my ChadMcMuffin, I love you. Jemuma.”

Amongst the flowers, mourners also lit tealight candles.

The Romsey family left one tribute to all three men, along with a holly wreath and a bottle of brandy, which read: “You will always be in our hearts and never forgotten. Our thoughts are with your families which we will always look out for. RIP, we love you.”

Tributes were also accompanied with cans of beer. One tribute said: “Chad, I know your life was short lived but you made the most of it in any situation. You will always be missed by everyone.”

Friends have also set a Facebook page in memory of the three men which has nearly 2,000 likes since being created yesterday. It can be found at: http://www.facebook.com/pages/RIP-Chad-Jordan-and-Nathan/1562203817329139

Dr Andrew Murrison, MP for South West Wiltshire, tweeted yesterday: "So very sad at deaths of 3 young men in RTA in Westbury last night. Prayers with families. Too many youngsters dying on Wilts roads."

And Tammy Newbury posted on Facebook: "Yet another awful sad tragic day...

"Lives taken so suddenly...couldn't imagine what their loved ones parents' families are going through at this time...but our hearts go out to you... three lads so young.. but certainly never forgotten.

At Leighton Sports Ground in Westbury today both teams - Westbury Conservative Club and Evana Designs Melksham - stood in silence for a minute before the kick-off in tribute to the crash victims.

Police are continuing their appeal for any witnesses of the collision to come forward.

Supt Gavin Williams said: "This is a tragic incident where three people have lost their lives and my thoughts are with their family and friends during this extremely difficult time.

"I would ask that if anyone has any information about this collision to contact Wiltshire Police as soon as possible."

Witnesses can contact PC Frank Katus from the Road Policing Unit at Police Headquarters in Devizes on 101, email frank.katus@wiltshire.pnn.police.co.uk or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be left anonymously.

Formal identification has yet to take place.

It is the third fatal accident on Wiltshire's roads in less than a month.

On November 15 passenger Max Lewis, 19, died in a collision near Melksham, while a week later Max Pearson, 21, was killed when his car hit a tree in Savernake Forest, Marlborough. The funeral for Max Lewis took place on Thursday.
