A THOUGHTFUL and respectful service was held for Westbury car crash victim Chad McVeigh on Monday.
More than 250 mourners turned out to pay their respects to the 18-year-old, who died with friends Nathan Cox and Jordan Taylor, both 20 and from Trowbridge, when their car hit a parked lorry in Quartermaster Road on the West Wiltshire Trading Estate in Westbury on December 4.
The serviceat All Saints’ Church, Westbury was led by the Rev Jonathan Burke, assisted by the Rev Steve Jarvis and the Rev Sue Miles.
Mr Burke read tributes on behalf of Chad’s mum Hayley, dad Nick and sisters Chantelle, 20, Charley, 19, and Shania, 15.
Charley wrote about the loving and caring person her brother was.
Mr Burke said: “Charley was remembering her brother, who was a real character. A lot of people didn’t know how much of a loving, caring, special and unique person he was.”
Jordan Taylor’s funeral also took place on Monday. His family asked that it remained private and details were not made public.
