A teenage pupil from Melksham Oak Community School has been hit by a car on a pedestrian crossing.
The girl, 16, was walking to school just before 8.30am on December 16 when a white Land Rover Sport ran over her foot and the car’s wing mirror hit her.
The girl was not seriously injured and carried on walking to school. The car allegedly had gone through the red light on Bath Road and a witness told police the driver only stopped to pick up their wing mirror, which had come off the car.
Anyone who saw the incident is asked to call police on 101.
