As the sale of Westbury’s Lafarge cement works has led to renewed fears locally the plant could fall into disrepair, photographer Richard Fox has shared his aerial views of the works.

The works and its quarry closed in April 2009 due to the recession, with the loss of more than 60 jobs, and has been mothballed for the last six years.

Now its sale, part of a £7.4 billion deal by Irish-based company CRH, has re-awakened concerns that the site will continue to degrade and cause significant problems for the area.

Mr Fox, 48, who is BNUC-S remote pilot qualification and holds Civil Aviation Authority permission for aerial works, asked us to point out he has not made any financial gain through these videos.

He said: "Lafarge Tarmac were kind enough to give permission for flying at the Westbury depot after I sat a Health & Safety induction for the site."

Mr Fox is a sales manager for EAIS Healthcare Division who started flying Quadcopters about a year ago and gained BNUC-S qualification and CAA PFAW about four months ago. His CAA PFAW reference number is 547.
