PUPILS and staff at Westbury Leigh Primary School invited their mothers and grandmothers in for a spot of lunch this week to celebrate Mother’s Day.
Around 50 mums and grandmas came into the school, located on Sandalwood Road, Westbury, on Tuesday and yesterday where they had a choice of cottage pie or chicken curry.
Headteacher Debbie Grimsey said: “It is great to see so many parents getting involved.
“The children have been delighted to see the visitors and very much enjoyed this special lunch with them.
“We are very proud of our school meals which are made on site using fresh, local ingredients.
“Helen Plows, our chef, is a fantastic cook and her meals are always well received by everyone who comes to our school.
“A big thank you must go to her and everyone else in the lunchtime team for making this event such a success.”
