HELSINKI: Aleardo Salina of Italy on Sunday won the World Men's Gold
Panning Championships in Finland's Lapland region, finding all eight
hidden grains of gold in a prepared pool in two minutes and 48 seconds.
Finland's Raija Jarvinen won the women's championship, finding all seven
grains in her event in three and-a-half minutes.
