TWO men from Westbury have been arrested after a 27-year-old man was assaulted in the town’s centre.
The incident happened on October 8 around 9.45pm, when the victim was approached by a group of men outside Protyres on Station Road.
The victim was assaulted and suffered a cut to his head but was not seriously injured.
The two men arrested in connection with the assault have been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
PC Paula Manley said: “We believe this is a targeted assault on the victim. This is a busy area of Westbury and it is likely there would have been a lot of people around at the time.
“I am interested in speaking with anyone who may have seen or heard anything.”
Anyone with any information is asked to call PC Manley at Warminster police station on 101, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be left anonymously
