THE Westbury Hospital campaign group Sensible Thinking On Patients (STOP) will be holding a public meeting on Wednesday, October 28.

The meeting, which will take place from 7pm in The Laverton on Bratton Road, will give residents the chance to voice their concerns over the future of the site.

A draft proposal for 72 homes was put forward in February by NHS Property Services for the 2.3 hectare site after it was closed in 2012.

An application is expected to be submitted by the end of the year.

Westbury Town Councillor Mike Sutton will chair the meeting and all the Westbury town councillors have been invited.

Wiltshire Council directors for Planning, Health and Social Care and Highways and Transport have also been invited to attend the meeting, where a short film detailing the group’s work will be shown before the meeting starts at 7pm.
