A GIRL from Westbury had her long locks chopped off on Saturday (March 12) and donated it to the Little Princess Trust.

Isabelle Cooke, of Fell Road, had her hair cut by Kerry Sawyer at the Richard Gardner salon in Trowbridge, who chopped off nine inches of her hair.

The five-year-old has also raised £400 for the charity, which will go towards manufacturing wigs for children who suffer from hair loss.

Mum Emma Cooke said: “I was quite shocked when Isabelle announced to me that she wanted to have her hair cut when we were walking home from school, as her long blonde hair has always been a big thing in the family.

“But when she said she was doing it so that she can donate it to children who need it more than she does, my initial reaction changed and I was incredibly proud of her.

“She was very nervous on the morning of the cut but once she got in the chair she loved every second of it.

“She has been showing off her new look to all of her friends at school and to the family. It’s lovely to see her so happy after making other children happy.”

The Little Princess trust is a charity that makes wigs from real hair, donated by people, for children who suffer from hair loss.
