AUTHOR Joffre White visited Dilton Marsh Primary School to unveil its new library and give an inspirational talk on March 22.

Mr White, who has become known for his Frog children’s book series, cut the ribbon of the redeveloped library and talked to pupils about how to be creative with writing.

Jill Farndale, the school’s deputy headmaster, said: “We redeveloped our whole library and had murals put in place which contain characters from the pupils’ favourite books.

“Joffre has visited the school in the past and made such a positive impact that we invited him back to officially open the library.

“He gave an assembly on creative writing and the kids were so engaged, which was really great to see.

“He told the pupils that anyone can become an author if they want, which was a really nice message.

“The pupils’ reading and writing will improve as a result of this partnership with Joffre.”

Mr White’s latest book, Frog And The Tree of Spells, is out now and more details can be found by visiting his website at joffrewhite.com/joffrewhite.com/Frog_-_The_Books.html
