PUPILS from Matravers School showed off their dancing feet at a dance festival after being picked by a prestigious dance company.
Twenty dance students from the school joined 36 other schools and colleges from across the country at the TR2 centre in Plymouth.
The one-day event was led by The Ramberts Dance Company, which had some of its resident choreographers on hand to show pupils some moves and give feedback.
In September last year, Matravers submitted a video that explained why it deserved to be a part of the ‘Ramberts Elements’ opportunity.
The school’s piece, entitled ‘Captivated by Sound’ used students from year seven to year 13, with older students working as choreographers, creating movements that they then taught to the rest of the dancers to create an 11 minute piece.
