MEMBERS of staff from Westbury-based Mercedez-Benz dealership Rygor completed an epic cycle challenge for three charities on Friday (April 1) .

The company cycled a total of 350 miles to raise money for the Wiltshire Air Ambulance, Hope for Tomorrow and Camren’s Steps, which were all chosen by the company as their charities of the year for 2015.

Finance director Martyn Morant was joined by colleagues including managing director Tim Stacey, director Graham Drake and many more of the company’s staff to take on the challenge.

Using three static exercise bikes, set up in the showroom at the company’s headquarters in Westbury, the team had just one day to complete the total distance.

Martyn Morant, finance director at Rygor, said: “It was a tough challenge but it was really fun taking part, along with the rest of the team here at Rygor, to raise money for three incredibly worthwhile causes.

“I’d also like to thank Train Station Gym in Frome for kindly supplying the bikes for our challenge.”

The team at Rygor raised £1,300 for their three selected charities before the event.

Tim Stacey, managing director at Rygor, added: “The team at Rygor always strives to set standards in work endeavours, but also looks to give back to local communities and causes.

“Many of our team members hold certain charities close to their hearts, so we wanted them to be the key decision makers when it came to choosing which charities our company would fundraise for over the next year.

“We have enjoyed supporting these incredibly worthwhile charities and it was fantastic taking part in the cycle challenge to help make a difference.”
