PAINTING horses a variety of crazy colours was just one of the fun activities on offer at Fairfield Farm College last week as pupils got their creative hats on for Art Week.

The Dilton Marsh college, which offers vocational horticulture, engineering, farming, horse design, art classes and more for people with learning difficulties, offered a wide range of activities to its pupils over the week.

Pupils got their hands dirty as they painted horses before riding them around the college’s fields, made jelly with the college’s logo in, designed a huge mosaic and more.

Helen Beer, admissions and marketing manager at Fairfield Farm College, said: “This week was planned for quite some time, staff were busy planning lots of creative ideas over several months and implemented them all throughout the week.

“The pupils did a range of fun things over the course of the week and really enjoyed themselves. In cooking class they made jelly with the college's logo in and put jelly babies in, which represented the pupils at the school.

“They also painted the horses in the farm an array of different colours and rode them around the field on Friday afternoon, which was a lot of fun.

“A mosaic was made by the pupils which will be displayed in the reception of the college and there was also a musical aspect to the week, with acoustic music at the youth group on Thursday evening and a music group on Friday.”
