PEOPLE with a BA13 postcode are being offered a special deal to see The Proclaimers and other headline acts at this year’s Village Pump Folk Festival.
This year the festival, which runs from July 22-24, is introducing evening only tickets to add to the usual options of day and weekend tickets.
Organisers have decided to sell 200 of these special tickets for £20, instead of £30, to Westbury people.
Festival organiser John Alderslade said: "People come from all over the UK and beyond every year to see our top-line acts but we want more local people to see what great entertainment is on their doorstep.
“They will only be available at this price up to 19th July and from White Horse Country Park, Suave in Warminster Road and Charlie's Bar in the market place.
"We have several acts this year whose appeal goes well beyond the usual folk and roots audience and we think that once people have come along to see what we are about they will come back year after year.”
The Proclaimers will be closing the evening's performances on Saturday night – when revellers will also be able to watch other musical acts, join in with a ceilidh or enjoy the wide range of food and drink on offer.
Full weekend and day tickets are also available. For full details see www.villagepump.co.uk
