GABRIELLA VENUS
BRATTON'S annual Open Gardens event takes place on Sunday (June 5) from 11.30am to 5pm.
There will be twelve gardens open in total, six of which will be opened to the public for the first time, and the gardens will be debuting new styles, sizes, colours and designs.
Tickets for the event are £5 and can be purchased from outside the Duke, Bratton, between 11am and 4pm. Visitors will also be given a map of the gardens and children accompanied by an adult are free of charge.
All proceeds will go to the Bratton Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal and St James’ Church.
Garden numbers 2,5,7 and 12 are located either on slopes or have steps, which may be unsuitable for people with restricted mobility. Organisers of the event advice visitors to be careful on the roads, particularly Court Lane, in the gardens.
Teas, coffees, soft drinks and cakes will be on sale at Ivy Cottage, 30 Lower Road, throughout the day.
