A PLANNING application to build two houses with five parking spaces in Warminster has been refused by Warminster Town Council.

There were concerns that the plans, which were submitted for land between Mount Lane and Marsh Street, did not take access and layout into consideration.

Councillor Paul Macdonald said: “Warminster Town Council recommends refusal on the grounds that the proposal for two properties generating the need for five parking spaces is overdevelopment of the site.

“This would lead to major increase in highway usage by motor vehicles along a narrow lane that is not suitable and further loss of amenity to the neighbours”.

Councillors voted unanimously in refusal of the plans.
