A MERCEDES-BENZ commerical vehicle dealership based in Westbury has raised £7,562 for its chosen charities.

Rygor announced its new Charities of the Year initiative in 2015 to support and fundraise for local charities Camren’s Steps, Hope for Tomorrow and Wiltshire Air Ambulance.

A year after nominating the three charities, Rygor presented cheques to the three charities.

Tim Stacey, managing director at Rygor, said: “It has been fantastic to see how our employees have got behind this new initiative over the past year to raise funds for these three fantastic causes.

“This was a real team effort. Whether it was a cycle challenge, football tournament, word of the week jar, or cake sale, team members across the business came together and got involved to achieve great things for our charities.”

The three charities were chosen by employees of Rygor.

Kenresa Stratford, fundraising coordinator at Wiltshire Air Ambulance, said: “Rygor has done a brilliant job of fundraising over the past year and their passion towards fundraising has been inspirational.

“We cannot thank them enough for their support. Their incredible donation of £2,520 will help us to continue to keep flying and saving lives.”

Catherine Wade, regional fundraiser for south Wiltshire at Hope for Tomorrow, said: “We are proud to be associated with Rygor, through our Mobile Chemotherapy Unit project which brings cancer treatment closer to home.

“Rygor’s customer service to our partner NHS Trusts, helps to ensure a reliable and trustworthy means of delivering mobile chemotherapy.”
