A FASHION show was held at the Paragon Hall in Westbury on Sunday (October 30) to raise money for charities chosen by Westbury Lions and Cancer Research.

Models aged between 10 and 70 strutted up and down the catwalk sporting clothing from Antoinette’s Wardrobe, a shop owned by Antoinette Morris located in Warminster Road, Westbury.

The event raised £160 for Westbury Lions who will donate it to charities and causes in the local area chosen by them and also for research into ovarian and testicular cancer.

Mrs Morris said: “It was an absolutely amazing event which was enjoyed by everyone.

“As well as being good fun we also managed to raise a decent amount of money for charity, which is what it was all about.

“Both ovarian cancer and testicular cancer aren’t talked about enough and there seems to be some kind of taboo surrounding them, so it's good to raise money for them and get people talking.

“Straight after the show all of the models said they wanted to do another one which was great to hear.”

There was an audience of around 50 people watching on as Lady Lions and Leos flaunted lots of Mrs Morris's finest attire.

Nigel Coward of Westbury Lions said: “Our thanks go to everyone who attended and helped out, including a few new faces who we hope to see again in the future at club activities.

“Just over £160 has been raised and there is already talk of another event being held in the spring, so watch this space for more information soon.”
