WESTBURY Lions Club have teamed up with Santa Claus this Christmas to encourage children to hand-write him letters which he will then respond to.
The club have been touring the town since December 1 and have asked for children to write a letter to Santa by dropping it off to his post box on the sleigh, which he will reply to and then his helpers will deliver them to their address.
Horace Prickett, Lions club member and one of Santa's helpers, said that more than 50 letters have been sent to Santa and they hope for many more, just so long as they put their address on them so Santa's letter can reach them.
"The Lions Club and Santa are so pleased with the response so far. He says there have been some wonderful letters and he hopes it will continue - just remember to post your address on the letter," said Mr Prickett.
"Santa gets a really good kick out of this and I am sure the children love getting a letter from him too. I want to thank everyone involved including our young under-18 Lions club, the Leo's club, who have been so helpful and are the biggest of their kind in the south of England."
The sleigh will tour the town until December 23 and for more information visit http://www.westburylions.org.uk/contact-us/
