THIS year’s Dilton Dash is shaping up to be even bigger than last year’s successful debut with entries pouring in already.

Taking place on Sunday, May 21, this year’s 10km and 3km runs will be in aid of Dilton Marsh Pre-School so it can carry out repairs to school buildings.

Organiser Tracey Hyde, of Redfish Events, said: “Last year we gave £600 to the village's play area appeal after the race and we’d like to raise even more for the school with this year’s race.

“We’ve already had more people sign up than we had at this stage last year and we’re looking forward to it as last year’s event was brilliant and received lots of really positive feedback.

“People from all over the UK have signed up so far; it would be great to see some more local people enter as it’s raising money for a local cause.”

The two races will take place in Dilton Marsh playing field and spaces are limited to 300. All finishers will receive a medal
