THIS year’s Bratton Hilly run will take place on Saturday, May 13.

The popular annual 11k run, which is in its 21st year, has become well known among runners for its challenging terrain on the edge of the Salisbury Plain.

Every year a donation from the proceeds is given to a local charity and for the past two years it has been Julia’s House, which is building a new children’s hospice in Devizes in May.

Dot Reeves, one of the organisers, said: “It’s usually very popular and the feedback is usually very positive.

“People often talk about the lovely atmosphere and the views along the way.

“It’s a challenging course in places but is open to all runners aged 16 and over – we hope to see another good turnout.”

Refreshments are available in the Jubilee Hall from 10.30am on the day and further details can be obtained from Mrs Reeves on 01380 830987.
