THIS year’s Edington Arts choral workshop will take place on Saturday, June 10 at Edington Priory Church, and all singers are invited to join.

The workshop will be a worthwhile day for anyone who loves Handel as the music to be rehearsed is his showpiece, Dixit Dominus.

The workshop will be taken by Andrew Carwood, one of the country’s leading choral directors. He is Director of Music at St Paul’s Cathedral and has his own Consort, The Cardinall’s Musick.

The five soloists are all previous or current members of the Edington Festival’s choirs including Philippa Murray and Anna Ramell, sopranos, Ben Sawyer, alto, Andrew Hayman, tenor, and Michael Hickman, bass.

The day will run from registration at 9.30am through to 5.30pm and friends and families are invited to join the singers for tea at 3.30pm to listen to the final session from 4.15pm.

Places are £20 or £10 for full time students, plus £2 for music hire. Application forms can be downloaded from the Edington Arts website, www.edingtonarts.org or obtained by phoning Anne Curtis on 01380 831454 or emailing her on anne@edingtonarts.org.
