A YOUNG football team are celebrating being awarded a gift from the Premier League.

The Westbury Junior School football team will now be proudly sporting their new Premier League Primary Stars Kit.

They were also awarded an equipment pack containing Nike footballs and bibs, pop-up goals, giant dice, cones, balloons, beanbags, hula hoops and a Premier League whistle.

Delivered by the Football Foundation, the Premier League Primary Stars Kit and Equipment Scheme gives teachers a range of equipment that can be used across different curriculum areas to get children active.

Andy Bodymore, Sports Development Coach at Westbury Junior School, said: “We are very grateful for this equipment and have already put it to good use in training for

a football competition between local schools. The children are really excited to use the new kit and it has opened up new teaching opportunities for all teachers.”

The Kit and Equipment Scheme forms part of the Premier League Primary Stars offer to primary schools in England and Wales. It is a curriculum- linked education programme that uses the appeal of the Premier League and its clubs to inspire children to learn, be active and develop important life skills.
