A CHILDREN'S book inspired by a rescue dog is being launched on November 30 at the Wealth of Wiltshire Christmas Fair in Trowbridge.

Tiny Tails Summer, by Westbury author Rosie Evitt is the second story in a series of four and tells the story of Tiny's journey through puppyhood to young adult.

Her inspiration for the Tiny Tales series is her own furry friend Tiny, a rescue dog who she brought home from the Cinnamon Trust animal rescue organisation to whom she dedicates her stories to.

Ms Evitt said: "I have a huge imagination, I can look at anyone and make up a story about them.

"I just love writing fantasy for children. When your a child is when you're love for fantasy really starts."

Ms Evitt has a particularly special relationship with her illustrator Issy, who is only 18 years old.

She said: "Issy Humphreys is a wonderful and talented young woman.

"We have one of those relationships that works, even through the many decades that divide us.

"I write the story and Issy produces stunning drawings that reflect my ideas. I bet she will go far in her life choices."

The book is available to buy from Ms Evitt, and you can contact her at englishrosesailor@yahoo.co.uk.
