SLEIGH bells were ringing at Westbury Court Care Home on Monday (December 18) afternoon when they were visited by two furry friends.

The Somerset Reindeer Ranch from Yeovil brought two of their most friendly reindeers, Comet and Winter, to put the magic into Christmas at the home with festive sleigh rides for the residents.

June Emerson, who was one of the first to have a ride said: “We really enjoyed our ride, it was great fun and not to fast. We didn't take off thankfully."

General home manager, Holly Caswell said: “This is such a lovely thing for the residents at Christmas time, they just loved the sleigh rides.

“One of our residents told me she was on top of the world.

“I'd like to thank Peter May who donated in memory of his wife Shelia, White Horse Blinds local business and another donation in memory of Olive Read.”

The reindeers were then brought into the home and were petted by residents.
