Two teenagers and two men have been arrested after it was alleged they used planks of wood during a fight at a travellers’ caravan park near Westbury.
Police were called in after a fight broke out at Bonnie Park caravan site near Bratton at about 8am on Monday.
It is alleged the dispute was over property.
The males, aged 14, 15, 27 and 37 were arrested on suspicion of affray.
Inspector Dave Minty, from Warminster and Westbury police, said: “Our first concern was for the safety of the people involved.
“We don’t want people to use violence and that’s why we arrested the four on suspicion of affray in order to secure and preserve evidence so we can get to the bottom of what occurred.”
The four males have been released on police bail and are due to report back to Melksham police station at the end of August.
