Three teenagers from Westbury are preparing to jump out of a plane at 13,500ft to raise money for carers who deal with Alzheimer's sufferers.
Matravers School students David Daniels, 17, Hannah Cook, 18, and George Carpenter, 17, will skydive at Sarum Airfield near Salisbury tomorrow in aid of the Alzheimer's Society.
David said: “Hannah’s grandad was part of the Alzheimer's Society because her grandma suffered from the disease and I have a great-grandad who suffers from Alzheimer's.
“I also have friends that looked after people with Alzheimer’s.”
David’s mum, Michaela Farmer, said: “It’s great because they are all A-level students who are taking time out of their busy schedules to organise the event and get sponsorship for this great cause.
“David’s grandad was in the Paratroopers in the 1960s so it must be in his blood.”
The group had set a target of £1,600 and have already raised £1,450.
