A dragon and a unicorn turned up at Fairfield Farm College in Dilton Marsh on Saturday as part of its Horse and Dog show.

They were among the more unusual costumes in the horse show’s fancy dress class, which ran alongside show jumping and a dog show.

The event, now in its fifth year, raised nearly £3,000 for the college, which helps people with learning disabilities.

Horse studies tutor Kate Jones said: “The show seems to be growing every year, which is good news.

“We were able to hold the show jumping using our own jumps this year, thanks to the money we raised in the last show, and are quite proud of them.

“The students decided on the colour scheme and designed the course themselves.”
