THE winners of the Pound Arts Open 2012 will be announced at the centre during an exhibition preview tomorrow night.
The competition, now in its fifth year, aims to reward aspiring artists with a range of prizes being presented by the judging panel during the event at The Pound, in Pound Pill, Corsham. Top prize is £500 from The Pound Arts Trust, while second place is worth £250 and some runners-up will have their work made into postcards.
The exhibition, which will include submissions by painters, sculptors, photographers and ceramicists, runs from Saturday until December 19. During the first four weeks of the exhibition, visitors will be invited to vote for their favourite artwork, with the piece receiving the most votes winning the People’s Prize of £150.
