Children across Wiltshire are in for a scraptastic Christmas treat as Santa prepares to visit schools in his renovated scrapmobile grotto.

Father Christmas will be on the road, seeing children and delivering craft gift boxes from the Wiltshire Scrapstore, in Bowden Hill, Lacock.

Scrapstore assistant director Glynis Cosgrave said: “We are extremely fortunate that one of our volunteers, Alice Barden, has worked as a set designer for the National Opera and the BBC, as she helped us convert the scrapmobile into a grotto.”

The charity supports learning in the community by providing low-cost recycled materials to children, helped by a £8,000 lottery grant. Patron and author Neil Griffiths will reading from his new book, The Best Present Ever, during craft workshops on December 22, from 10.30am to noon and 1pm to 2.30pm.
