Warrant for arrest of Devizes man accused of Trowbridge sex assault

A judge has issued a warrant for the arrest of a man accused of sexually assaulting a woman in a park.

Paul Gladding, 41, of Devizes, is also said to have assaulted a police officer in the same incident.

Gladding was due to appear at Swindon Crown Court to answer charges of sexual assault and common assault.

But he failed to turn up for the hearing and judge Douglas Field issued a warrant for his arrest and detention.

It is alleged that Gladding, who has told the court he is of no fixed abode, carried out the offences in Trowbridge Park on Tuesday, November 6.
