Girls from across the Whorwellsdown Guides’ district met at St Michael and All Angels’ Church in Hilperton to celebrate World Thinking Day.
The group of 80,which included Rainbows, Brownies and Guides from Paxcroft Mead, Hilperton, Steeple Ashton, Holt, and Atworth’s group , commemorated the annual event – which was launched in 1926 – on Tuesday.
During the festivities, there was a service taken by the Rev Ivor Hughes, who also dedicated 1st Paxcroft Guides’ new flag.
Vanessa Bridgwater, 1st Paxcroft Guides’ leader, said: “We are quite a spread district so it is nice to get together on occasions like these. Everyone had a lot of fun.”
The meeting also celebrated the Brownies’ centenary and the Atworth Guides’ 60th anniversary.
Around 60 Guides also ate at Nando’s in Trowbridge afterwards.
