An unsually warm May means Wiltshire has seen six months of above-average temperatures, according to amateur weatherman Geoff Witts.
Figures from Mr Witts, who records the daily weather conditions from his Steeple Ashton home, show consistently warm conditions throughout the month, peaking at 25.1 degrees on May 19.
May was also slightly wetter than average, with a total rainfall of 74.8mm, compared to a yearly average of 57.4.
