WILTSHIRE Council says work to extend the dual carriageway of the A350 in Chippenham is on time and on budget.
Work started in April to extend the dual carriageway from Jacksom’s Lane 600 metres up to the Badger roundabout at Morrisons.
The council said the work is still on track to be completed next March.
Two more overnight road closures are planned. Originally Balfour Beatty had planned for eight, but it said extra hours worked meant it would only need four.
It said pipes would be installed through the various phases of works to get rid of more rainwater and make the road safer to drive on.
The final bit of work to be done next year will be improvements to the Malmesbury Road roundabout and the installation of a signal-controlled pedestrian crossing there.
The £2.7m scheme is being funded mainly by the Government’s Local Pinch Point Fund.
