A new statue of Harold Peto, by Wiltshire wire sculptor Derek Kinzett, was unveiled on Saturday at Iford Manor, to celebrate the mastermind behind its gardens.
A wire-form statue of Mr Peto, who died in 1933, was revealed at a ceremony attended the team behind the manor’s long restoration.
William Cartwright-Hignett, whose family lives at Iford, said: “Derek’s wire sculptures really appeal to us because of their ethereal nature.”
The gardens open in April.
