THE organisers of Womad - Wiltshire’s largest annual music festival - have announced the release of a limited number of ‘early bird’ tickets after last year’s event was a sell-out.

Around 30,000 world music fans headed to the Earl of Suffolk’s ancestral home at Charlton Park, near Malmesbury, for the World of Music Arts and Dance (Womad) Festival in July.

The line-up for the four-day 2015 event - from Thursday, July 23, to Sunday, July 26 - will not be revealed until early next year.

Womad director Chris Smith said: “After the sell-out of 2014 we expect these early birds to fly out of the door.”

The festival, which features singers, musicians, dancers and chefs from all corners of the globe, relocated to Charlton Park from Reading in 2007.

All weekend early bird tickets have been held at 2014 prices. Children aged 13 and under are admitted free.

People who live in the in the SN16 Malmesbury postcard also get a discount.

Prices are: Early bird Weekend £135 (Full price £160); Early bird Disabled Weekend £135 (Full price £160); SN16 Resident Weekend £115; Teenage (aged 14-17yrs) Weekend £80 (teenage registration form must be filled in); Early bird spa ticket £100 (Full price £120); Thursday only, £30.
