Box Steam Brewery celebrated its tenth anniversary with a special Christmas event featuring Trowbridge boxer Nick Blackwell as a special guest.

Hundreds of local customers joined the team last Thursday to toast the success of the Holt brewery at the event, which raised £240 for Holt VC Primary School through a raffle of local products.

The event also included Box Steam ales, hot food and performances by Holt Carol Singers and Holt Morris Dancers, with tours of the brewery also available for interested visitors.

The family-owned craft brewer was founded in 2004, with the original location near to Box Tunnel, before moving to larger premises in Holt in 2011, where a range of traditional style ales are brewed.

David Southway, sales director at Box Steam Brewery, said: “It is an event we run every year, but as this one was on the eve of our tenth anniversary we had much more going on.

“It was a really enjoyable evening and we had a great turnout, with more than 200 people through the door.

"It was great to raise some money for the school and we want to thank everyone who came along and showed their support.”
