THE M4 westbound is clear, with traffic flowing normally, after a collision between two cars earlier this afternoon.

The cars are believed to have been travelling west between Junction 15 (Swindon East) and Junction 16 (Swindon West) when the incident happened.

One lane of the M4 was closed for a time.

The A350 West Cepen Way, Kington Langley, was partly blocked at the Day's Lane junction, because of a traffic collision this morning.

The Met Office is warning of possible travel disruption and damage to trees when forecast gales arrive and has issued a yellow 'be aware' weather warning for most of the UK.

RAC spokesman Simon Williams said: "The wind is going to be the central feature of the weather over the next few days - and it's something every motorist is going to notice when they take to the road, especially drivers of high-sided vehicles.

"Our advice is to take extra care, on exposed routes in particular, allow more time to get to your destination, or even delay your journey if possible to avoid driving in the strongest winds."
