PEOPLE are being asked to take part in a 10-minute survey on how the Wiltshire countryside affects their wellbeing.
Cranfield University and the RSPB are leading the work on the benefits provided by nature and the countryside.
The results of the survey will ensure that society recognises the many ways in which nature benefits people, and that this is fully taken into account in government policy and planning decisions.
The Wessex BESS project is a research project investigating the relationships between biodiversity (plants, animals and habitats) and the benefits and well-being that people get from the Wiltshire countryside.
The project is studying the full range of ecosystem services provided by an example landscape in central and southern Wiltshire, and the relationship between those services and biodiversity in the landscape.
If you would like to take part in the survey visit www.ppgis.manchester.ac.uk/bess/
