RAIL services in and out of Paddington Station this afternoon are delayed for up to an hour after an incident earlier.

British Transport Police said officers were sent to Portchester Road, near Royal Oak station, following reports of a man on the bridge over the railway line.

The man has been safely helped down from the bridge with the help of the ambulance and fire services.

All lines in and out of London Paddington have now reopened and delays of up to 60 minutes have now been eased.

Delays were said to be around 25 minutes in and out of the station by 4.20pm.
