POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a 54-year-old woman was assaulted in Bradford on Avon on May 20.
At about 6.35pm last Friday, the woman was cycling up the hill in Belcombe Road when a white van approached her from behind and a male passenger hit her with what is believed to be a cord.
The woman sustained bruising and marks to her bottom.
The suspect is described as white, aged about 15 with a round face and short, light brown hair.
It is believed there were three people sitting in the front of the van.
Anyone who witnessed the incident, or may have more information which may help officers identify the suspect, should call police on 101. Alternatively, call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
