CELEBRATIONS will be held across the nation to toast the Queen’s official 90th birthday – and Wiltshire will be immersed in the party atmosphere.

A vast array of events are taking place this weekend, including street and tea parties, picnics, village fairs and lorry loads of delectable treats.

In Melksham, Ebenezer Church in Union Street will get things underway with their own tea party from 10.30-12pm.

On Sunday the town council are putting on a picnic in the park on King George V playing field on Sunday, June 12 from 12pm.

That same day in Shaw and Whitley, a special village fair with children's activities, adult village games and a dog show will kick off from 12-3pm.

To round off the events in the town, The Friends of Seen School Royal Tea Part at the Pavilion and Lye Field, Seend.

Also on Sunday in Bradford on Avon, residents are being welcomed by Mayor Alison Craddock for the town's tea party from 2-4pm at St Margaret's Hall.

At Holt's village hall, a family street party will be on show, beginning with a fancy dress parade at 1.30pm from Ham Green where they will be music, games, stalls, competitions and dancing.

Little Cuckoo's Preschool in Corsley is holding a Tea Party in honour of the Queen's Birthday on Saturday 11th June 12-2pm

Mad Hatters Afternoon Tea at The Bath Arms in Horningsham on Saturday from midday to 5pm. Homemade finger sandwiches, a selection of cakes and scones and tea/coffee for £12.50 per person. Glass of champagne for £16.50 per person. 

A garden party in The Village Green, Codford Village Hall, on Sunday from midday to 4pm. Bring a plate of food along, come and celebrate the Queen's birthday in true community spirit.
