YOUNG, talented artists studying at Wiltshire College got to showcase their work at an exhibition at the Trowbridge campus this week.

After 11 weeks of preparations, 16 Level 3 Art students banded together to display their pieces, which are getting marked as part of their course, at their Insight exhibition, which runs until June 21.

Final year student Kieran McEleny, 20, said he and his fellow artists were delighted with how all their work had turned out, after a long hard slog getting everything ready for the show.

"Overall the consensus is everyone is really proud of their work and really enjoyed getting to show their stuff - it has been a very exciting time," he said.

"We were given free rein to do what whatever we liked. These guys are now applying for university and hopefully this can be a positive springboard going forward. The future looks bright."

Pieces on show include sculptures, painting on canvas in various media and light installations.
