NEW aerial footage of Wiltshire is being used to help draw tourists to the county.

Online viewers can get a bird’s eye view of the countryside and iconic views of the county including Longleat and the Kennet and Avon Canal.

The film, titled 'What View Did You Wake Up to This Morning?' is the first of a three-part series.

Fiona Errington, marketing manager at VisitWiltshire, said: “This footage will encourage more domestic and international visitors to come and see the magnificent Wiltshire countryside and iconic landmarks and views we have.

“We are working closely with VisitBritain, VisitEngland and VisitWiltshire partners to ensure this is shared online and via social media channels.”

Attractions Views in the film include Salisbury Cathedral, Bowood, Wilton Windmill, Crofton Beam Engines, Abbey House Gardens and Malmesbury Abbey.

Views of Silbury Hill, Roundway Hill, West Kennet Long Barrow and The Ridgeway and the Kennet and Avon Canal are also featured.

VisitWiltshire used the latest drone technology made possible by funding from the recent £5 million South West Tourism Growth Fund.
