GOOD customer service has been the driving force behind one car dealership’s success according to its director.

Turners of Erlestoke has been a go-to garage for many since it first opened in 1958, offering a range of Subaru cars for sale, being an authorised ŠKODA repairer and also being able to carry out MOT and services, part exchange as well as finance.

Director Dennis Turner said since his father Len started the family business, it has gone from strength-to-strength building up its reputation in the county.

Mr Turner, 70 said: “Over the years since we first opened, we have had a good increase in the range of cars we have been selling and we did very well with ŠKODA which we used to sell.

“They initially wanted us to move and have a new business out Salisbury way but I wasn’t going to do that. It would have been a huge amount of money and so we stayed where we are and haven’t looked back.

“We really do try and keep our customers happy and give them a great service and make sure all the cars are up to scratch. Even the second hand cars, we make sure they are of a good standard and we have a very strict policy on that.

“It is nice to have customers come back and say thank you for our service or saying we go the extra mile.”

The business started doing repairs in 1952 and it was six years later that that they first started to sell Standard Triumph’s in 1958, later moving onto selling Simca’s, ŠKODA and now Subaru.

While stocking the latest models in the Subaru range, Turners also offer customers a wide variety of used cars. As an authorised repairer of ŠKODA, Turners now have equipment to deal with technology in modern cars such as four wheel alignment tracking and line warning to drivers when a car steers outside its designated lane.

Mr Turner added that while their price range varies based on the make and model, staff at Turners aim to match a customer with their perfect car and price range and believe they stock something for everyone.
