THREE men from Wiltshire have been charged with offences after Oxford United's clash with Swindon at the weekend.
The men, all in their 20s, were arrested by police on Saturday, one being suspected of setting off a firework in Oxford's Botley Road.
Yesterday Mark Gee, 24, of Semington Road, Melksham, was charged with one count of using threatening or abusive words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress, and one count of throwing fireworks in Botley Road.
He has been bailed to appear at Oxford Magistrates' Court on October 11.
Stuart Greener, 25, of Barnes Wallis Close, Bowerhill, Melksham, was charged with one count of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause fear of or provoke unlawful violence.
He has been bailed to appear before Oxford magistrates on October 11.
And Clayton Scott, 27, of Islandsmead, Eldene, was charged with one count of use threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause fear of, or provoke unlawful violence, in Botley Road.
He has been bailed to appear in Oxford Magistrates' Court on September 26.
