A MAN was taken to Southmead Hospital with a serious head injury last night after the bike he was riding and a silver Vauxhall collided.
At approximately 6.30pm, the 50-year-old man was cycling along Spa Road with another cyclist when they crossed over the roundabout at the junction with Snowberry Lane.
A Vauxhall Astra was travelling along Snowberry Lane approaching the roundabout when the vehicle collided with the cyclist.
The ambulance service were called to the scene and paramedics found that the man was breathing but unconscious.
Wiltshire Air Ambulance then transported the man to Southmead Hospital in Bristol, where he remains.
Police are appealing for witnesses.
