A WILTSHIRE family could make it a festive season to remember by winning a once-in-a-lifetime trip to see Father Christmas, thanks to a new promotion from The Midcounties Co-operative Travel.

The competition will see those who book a package holiday at Co-operative Travel branches in Melksham, Warminster and Swindon handed a bar of chocolate, with an unforgettable festive trip to Lapland up for grabs for the lucky winners who find a golden ticket inside their wrapper.

Worth £3,400, the trip will give a family of four a chance to meet Santa in his workshop just a couple of weeks before Christmas, and will be an ideal chance for children to make any last-minute present requests in the build-up to the big day.

The winners will also have the opportunity to meet Rudolph and friends, as well as enjoying a husky sled ride, tobogganing and Christmas party.

Promotional bars of chocolate will be handed out to Co-operative Travel customers who book a minimum seven-night holiday before November 18, with the three-night trip to Lapland set to begin on December 12.

The golden ticket winners will be staying the resort of Levi, in the three-star Levi Panorama with direct access to ski slopes and bars, restaurants and shops.

Claire Kelly, regional manager of Co-operative Travel, said: “For many the summer holiday is the main holiday of the year – with this promotion we’re hoping to bring an extra special festive treat for the lucky winners.

"Christmas can be such a magical time all ages and so we’ve put this trip together to bring a truly memorable, captivating experience.”

The Midcounties Co-operative Travel has also produced a winter storybook featuring its very own Gecko character.

In the wintery tale, the Gecko follows the seasons as autumn becomes winter, with a sticker page to allow children to interact with the story. The books will be given to all those booking a seven-or-more night package holiday until November 18.

“The run-up to Christmas can be a hectic and busy time for most people. These offers are really about us trying to give a little back to our members and customers,” said Claire.
